Music Recommendation of the Week
Hello everyone
This weeks recommendation is a band some of you may have heard of and others of you will not have it is New City Kings.
I would thoroughly recommend this band they will not be to everyone's taste as no artist ever is but I thoroughly enjoy their music.
The only music they have released so far is their EP called Change as they have only recently been in the spotlight due to their tour with McBusted but I think that they are going to go far and they deserve to.
Hope you give them a listen who knows they could be one of your new favourites.
Until next time

Superdrug and Topshop accidental haul
Hello people
I promised you I would be writing a haul blog post for my going crazy in Superdrug and Topshop and here it is.
I first went to Superdrug where the most damage was done.
oops.....
The first things I picked up were some makeup brushes.
I got two Real Techniques shading brushes as when doing eye makeup you need a number of different brushes and I felt like having enough so that I didn't feel like I was constantly cleaning my brushes.
I also bought a concealer brush as I didn't own one and it had got to the stage that I needed one as using a different type of brush was not cutting it.
The next thing I bought was a Makeup Revolution palette. I bought the ultra mattes one which contains 32 different matte colours.
I believe that this is a really good palette to own as most palettes when you buy them contain shimmer and very few mattes. This means you have enough mattes to do whichever look you are aiming for.
I then bought the Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette.
It was implied that this may be a good dupe for one of the Naked Palettes so I will compare the quality when using this palette as that is a big thing to claim. The Urban Decay eye shadows are really good quality I think, I will be impressed if they do compare.
Next I bought the eyes uncovered palette in nude bronze.
It contains a total of six colours and in shades that I do not have as many palettes go from light to very dark or black shadows, this one goes to brown which is useful as I have a lot of black eye shadows from other palettes.
The next colour is a Collection Work the Colour palette in purple.
It is good quality for money as you get eight eye shadows and a highlighter for your money, I got this palette for £2.99, they even give you an idea of where the shades should go and give you enough varieties for multiple different looks as you can use the colours however you wish.
The next is the Little Mix All about the eyes palette from Collection.
I had been wanting to buy this palette for a long time, so I finally did. I fell in love with the colours and I really loved the palest colour and the next two shades as I don't have any like them as its not just a white the first colour has a different colour undertones. I have never seen that shade in any other palette or range.
I next bought the NYC Individual eyes palette for Green eyes.
This palette is amazing you get a lot for your money and its tailored to your eye colour which is always nice. You get a Primer, an Illuminator, a Highlighter shade, an All over lid colour and two Crease/Contour colours. You could use all of the products at once or you could pick the ones you want to use and create a look from a few products.
The next two items I bought were false lashes.
I don't normally use false lashes but I really liked these and they were under £3 so I wasn't complaining. I wanted to get a couple of pairs to play around with to see if I suit them and how I can get them to work.
The second pair I bought were from Collection.
They are both a similar style but the collection ones have glue whereas the NYC ones are self adhesive.
I bought a spare of my Little Mix Perrie blush from Collection as I love this blush so much and wanted a spare in case it was being discontinued anytime soon.
I also bought a spare of my go to lipstick which I love and didn't want to run out of.
It's the Little Mix Perrie lipstick from Collection. This colour seems to really suit me and I love it so I bought a spare as I do not want to run out and I can not find the same colour any where else that I have looked (if you know where else I can find it please let me know).
I bought one of the new Gorgeous Glow blocks by Collection and I got the blusher block.
I think that these colours look really pretty together and I am so happy that they released this product it is a kind of blush and highlight in one.
I bought the speedy blush in Tickled Pink and don't have much to say about it as I have yet to use it but I love the colour and will let you know once I have used it.
I bought a Collection Lip Butter in the shade Vintage Rose. I wanted to see if the Collection ones were as good as they are said to be and so I bought one to try the swatch of it was beautiful but haven't used it on my lips yet.
I bought a NYC kohl kajal liner in white for my tear duct as I didn't have one and it is a staple for most people.
I next picked up a brow pencil by MUA which is always useful. My brows like to be my nemesis most of the time.
I picked up a MUA Blush perfection Cream blush in the shade Blossom.
I highly rate MUA products and loved this colour, it is an inexpensive brand which if you have access to highly recommend you using as they are good quality for the money you are paying and the range keeps expanding.
I bought a couple of the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos as I really wanted to try them. The first colour I got was Pink Gold.
I really love this colour and can't wait to use it (internal fight at the moment as it is unused and pretty). I am looking forward to using it and have a few ideas of what I can do with it.
The second colour I bought is probably the most popular colour of the range. It is On and On Bronze.
I love this colour as I love using neutral colours on my eyes as the make them pop. This colour I have some ideas for using and am looking forward to trying out.
The next product I bought was a Barry M Lip Boss, in the shade Office Romance.
I have not opened it yet as I know when I do it will be used everyday for a while and I have an idea of a look I want to do using it but I do not have all the items yet. I am waiting to open this until I do to make sure I have enough left.
The final Superdrug item I bought (yay) was the Zoella Kissy Missy lip balm.
I love it as you can probably tell I have been using it every single day as it is amazing so mine in the pot looks quite well used. I would thoroughly recommend this product I have yet to buy any of her other new products but I love this.
I then went to Topshop and was a bit more restrained I only bought five items.
I got a blush, an eye shadow and three lipsticks.
I got a Chameleon Glow in the shade Shuffle the Cards.
I fell in love with this colour and think that it is beautiful and I love the different shades in it (the picture does not do it justice).
I bought a beautiful cream blush which was reduced in the shade Aorta.
I think that it is a beautiful colour with a little bit of shimmer.
All three lipsticks that I bought are in the anniversary packaging which has rose gold detail.
I bought Rio Rio the bright red which you can not go wrong with I am of the opinion that everyone who will use it should have a red lipstick. (if you aren't going to use it then there is no point.
I bought Beguiled which is a dark reddish colour that I love it is beautiful and perfect for the Autumn and Winter.
The final one that I bought was Nevada which is a nude colour and I love it, the texture of the lipstick is amazing its such a creamy consistency.
And that is it for this accidental but large haul I hope I didn't bore you too much and will have plenty of reviews to do for you all (The post I am aiming to do for Friday will also prove this).
Until next time,

Music Recommendation of the week
Hello people
My music recommendation this week is a band which I'm not sure if any of you will have heard of.
It is Room 94 and if you haven't heard of them you need to go on Youtube and listen to them.My favourite songs are Ignorance is Bliss, Chasing the Summer, Pills and Tell me what love feels like.
I really love this band I first found them when the band account followed me on twitter as I like to listen to small/unsigned bands/artists and then if I like them I follow them and also tweet about them.
I personally think that they deserve a bigger fan base and that people should listen to them and smaller bands/artists as that's how they build up to becoming really famous and you never know whether you have found a gem or not. I personally love supporting the smaller ones as you can support them throughout the journey that they will go on.
If not necessarily this band try and find some smaller artists or bands as they deserve to be noticed and every fan they gain is progress.
Until next time,

Herbal Essences Clearly Naked Dry Shampoo Review
Hello people
I purchased this a couple of months ago as it was on 3 for 2 and I only had two items I needed to buy. I wanted to test this out as a lot of brands are now releasing dry shampoo and I only really use the Batiste dry shampoo and wanted to see if any others were any good and this was the first one that I tried.
It states in the name Clearly Naked which suggests that when you spray it you will still need to rub or comb it in but you should not notice that you sprayed it in your hair. I did not find that to be the case, I found that yes it was clear but made your hair look more shiny to help you find where it is to rub through. The Batiste dry shampoo is white so you can see it and easily tell when it is all combined with your hair but this one it is more difficult to tell.
I tried it for making your hair a bit less greasy as sometimes your hair isn't looking its best and needs a little freshen up but you don't have time to wash it until later that day. To be honest I didn't find it that great for that purpose. It could have been that I applied it wrong but dry shampoo is fairly self explanatory. I will stick with my batiste ones for this purpose as I know that I can rely on them to ensure my hair looks ok until later in the day.
I also tried it for adding volume to your hair as I know that is an aspect a lot of people loo for in a dry shampoo. It was ok about on the same level as the batiste one. Personally I would buy a volumising product to add volume to my hair but I have naturally hair which is really thick so adding volume is not necessarily something I aim to achieve, nor is it something that I look for from a dry shampoo.
Personally at the moment I am going to be sticking with my Batiste dry shampoo as I know I can rely on it to freshen up my hair when necessary and it will not let me down. I will continue to test out the herbal essences one to see if my opinion changes or improves on it and if it does I will let you know. However at the moment if I had the choice of the two of them I would reach for the Batiste one.
Until next time,

Music recommendations
Hello people
I usually try and give you a music recommendation per week and I know that I have missed two of them, so I figured that I would combine them.
The first is Ed Sheeran, the amount of love I have for that man is unnatural. he was meant to be my recommendation for last week and that may have been partially because it was the run up to when I saw him live. I got super excited and could not contain my excitement, I think that I annoyed a few of my friends....
My second recommendation which is this weeks one (I'm slowly catching up, I've got this).
This weeks recommendation is One Republic.
I have loved this band for a long time since they first started being played on the radio with I think Stop and Stare about eight years ago ish. I literally learnt all the lyrics and was obsessed with them and they supported Ed Sheeran.
My obsession and love of that band has been reactivated I have not stopped listening to them and did not realise how much I listened to them until they played and I knew all the words to all but one or two songs and they played around ten....
I may like them a little too much and get fully obsessed with some bands...oops....
Anyway
Until I can type up another blog post and depending on how long they are

I went a little crazy in Superdrug and Topshop yesterday.......
Hello people
I may have gone a bit crazy in town yesterday. I went shopping with my friend who wanted to get some more lipsticks and I came out with a lot of stuff and I'm not even exaggerating.....oops.
I will be doing a haul on it all but am not entirely sure if it will be on here or my youtube channel, most likely on both but I will let you know soon.
I apologise for the length of the haul so it might take me a little bit to write it but I hope you enjoy it and it will be with you soon.
Until soonish depending on my typing skills

mini models own haul
Hello people
So recently a Model's Own stand opened up in my town centre and I bought a few items from them as it was five items for £20.
I bought 2 Lipsticks, 1 Lip Gloss, 1 Palette and one eyeliner/lipliner pencil.
I bought the Smokey eye palette (surprising I know as I usually use neutral eye colours).
The colours are all pretty pale, but the 1st and 4th are intended to be highlighters that's why they don't really show up as well on my skin tone as I am really pale. The colours are really nice and give you a lot of options of what you can do.
The next product I have is the shimmer pencil which can be used as either an eye liner or a lip liner. I got it in the shade ice pink and it comes out as a pale pink and isn't too harsh a pencil.
I really like the colour of it but I need other lip pencil colours as I don't always wear pink but it seems to be ok but I do not have anything to compare it to really.
The next product I got was a semi-matt lipstick in the shade stark naked.
The shade advertised on the bottom of the lipstick is not the shade you get from the lipstick but I like the shade non the less.
It is a darker not as pale colour but at least I am happy with the colour.
The next item is a hyperlips lip gloss.
I got it in the shade premiere plum and it smells of tutti frutti.
I do really like the colour of this lip gloss but there is a downside to it, it is a very sticky lip gloss, I find some lip glosses can not feel sticky and yet any wind and your hair sticks to it anyway. However this one feels as though it could stick my lips together and be like superglue if my hair got caught in it.
The final product I got was another lipstick this time from their festival collection.
I bought the shade main stage which is a pretty bright pink.
The staying power is amazing, I really had to scrub this to get it off my hand, the staying power is amazing. I would recommend these lipsticks if you are on a budget and like bright colours.
That's it for now.
Until next time,
Laura xxx
